Recently, the classic luxurious hotel Fairmont Germany had a full decor renovation. All five floors including a total of 156 elegant rooms and luxurious suites, suffered a relook, gaining an exciting new style which combines precious fabrics and international design ideas. BRABBU was one of the brands whose pieces were specified to this project. The design chosen was Nº20 Armchair.
Six fresh and unconventional yet classy and timeless color schemes were defined to the project. Bright, creamy nuances are pleasantly contrasted by accentuating highlight colors in gold, kiwi green, powder blue, carmine and light purple. Every room is different from the other, the same happens with each floor. Every little detail is considered whether regarding decoration or lighting. Details make the difference.
BRABBU’s Nº20 Armchair was picked to the classic hotel luxurious suites. The standard version is fully upholstered in twill with golden polished nails in the back. The ones used in the hotel project have different fabrics and colors and the legs are in wood, not upholstered. All of them have nails in the back, recalling the mid century modern style. It’s a very elegant and cozy armchair that perfectly fits the décor, in harmony with the ambiance’s other elements.

Looking for the largest, weirdest and most elegant hotel pools in Las Vegas? Even when summer is at its hottest (note: the mercury regularly rises above 110 degrees), visitors know they’ll find a great spot to cool off in. Not only do the hotel swimming pools in this city have things like lazy rivers and wave machines, but they also have towering Greek statues and shark aquariums. Here’s a list of our favorite hotel pools to take a plunge when you want to beat the heat.
There’s nothing quite like this 11-acre, South Seas-themed aquatic playground. In addition to three large pools, a lazy river with a current that runs at 3 mph and 2,700 tons of white sand, it has a three-story, glass-enclosed building with a casino and a “toptional” pool club called Moorea Beach Club.
A 1.6-million-gallon wave pool surrounds the elevated Beach Stage. You can enjoy concerts here on hot summer nights while wading in its surf.
This outdoor oasis boasts eight different pools (each one is named after a Greek god) – including Venus Pool Club, where European-style sunbathing is allowed. Scattered among the landscape are beautiful fountains and waterfalls as well as blue-cushioned lounge chairs and daybeds. Plus, there’s a snack bar called Snackus Maximus, swim-up blackjack tables and lavish bottle service provide by “goddesses.”

This $30 million outdoor complex has a lovely curved pool with two cascading waterfalls as well as a hot tub, the H2O Bar and several blackjack tables on its main floor. A child-free zone (guests must be at least 16 years old to enter) called The Hideout is located on the second floor with its own two-story infinity pool.
There’s a 200,000-gallon aquarium filled with several different species of sharks and other colorful creatures from the ocean – and a three-story water slide takes you right through the center of it!
There’s nothing quite like this family-friendly pool area situated at the center of one of the Strip’s few remaining historic hotels. The setting is lush because it’s adjacent to the Wildlife Habitat, where a collection of feathered friends (like swans, ducks and, of course, flamingos) as well as koi and turtles make their home. The main pool is shaped like a big lagoon, while a maze of water slides winds through rocky caves into smaller terraced pools. There is also a special pool for adults – the GO Pool, which has more of a nightclub-like vibe. Snacks are available from the nearby Beach Club Café.
A large swim-in grotto beneath three gushing waterfalls makes for a fun escape from the sun on scorching days.
One giant octagon-shaped pool provides lots of room for swimmers on the resort’s two-acre rooftop deck. Located on the third floor, you’ll delight in views of replicated Paris landmarks as well as of the Fountains of Bellagio and several hotel frontages along the Strip. A secluded area bordered by rose bushes enfolds two big hot tubs.

I came across to one situation, I needed to go to Madrid to close some deals on client’s meetings and do it so in a city like Madrid is not an easy task. Beautiful indeed, its architecture style, its monuments and also thousands of bars and restaurants makes Madrid a wonderful place to do business but as cosmopolitan city and the traffic can be difficult sometimes to move along and of course you need to find a place to stay near the city centre and with all transport in your hands so what else can be good than staying on a business hotel at the Madrid’s gate?
So I searched on Google “business hotel in Madrid” and found many but the one who catch my attention was the EXE Moncloa. The localization on Calle Alcipestre made it wonderful to plan my meeting’s schedule and with so many transports at the door I had an easy task to look for the best solutions to never get late on my meetings.
The EXE Moncloa is a no brainer Executive Hotel with a simple and modernistic decoration that provides you a great comfort in order to get you focus on what is important, your business.

So I decided to go ahead with the EXE Moncloa and then when I arrived the first thing I liked was the friendly and cordial treatment I got from the two receptionists who provide me all the information and assistance I needed about the services and areas. The reception is simple but modern, straight lines and executive colours: black and wood, like entering on a big corporation.
So I went up to my room and well everything was excellent, the decoration of the corridors and entryways is very smart, lighting and mix of colours between black, gray, and brown is elegant and very equilibrated. Then I entered to my room and well, was fantastic, continuing the same line of decoration, but instead, a white wall room with straight lined set of furnishes that were very comfortable and a desk that provide me a good space to put my laptop and do some work. The bathroom was impeccable, with all the accessories you need to stay relax.
So seeing that everything was in place I took a moment to visit the lobby, a beautiful decorated room, not a big one, but wonderful to read the news or even invite a client to have an informal meeting with you. The place was well decorated and with good illumination and very comfortable, a good place to relax.
I didn’t visit the gym because have not time for it, neither the pool on the roof but I visited the restaurant buffet which only serves breakfast, a good and delicious meal with Spanish characteristic food and loved it! I was not on the hotel by the time of lunch but at dinner I needed to look for a place and well, is just turning to your right and you have a “food market” with a bars and different kind of food with a wide range of possibilities and I understood why the hotel didn’t have dinner, I didn’t need it with such a good restaurants in hands.

So my conclusions is that the EXE Moncloa is a Hotel that provides you the comfort you need to work abroad, in a big city like Madrid that’s essential and the primal factor is its localization and the tranquillity you have in the hotel to think, to rest, to plan, for that reason I will recommend the EXE if you plan to do a business trip to Madrid. If you’re going just for pleasure, well its good and comfortable but maybe you should look for another type of hotel if you’re looking for leisure.

It is said the difference between real life and the movies is that real life has bad lighting and no score. All of that changes as one enters the grounds of Thomas Henkelmann and Homestead Inn in Greenwich, CT. Purchased in 1997 by Theresa and Thomas Henkelmann as a showcase for Thomas Henkelmann’s incredible cuisine, the existing hotel was a logical extension and a blank canvas for Theresa’s design expertise.
Integrating the architecture that defers to the hotel’s history and individuality, the Henkelmann’s purposeful and sensitive renovation is a salute to the past while resolutely embracing the new and the now. Art and artifacts from around the globe are seamlessly woven into each room and suite’s decor. European in flavor, the hotel speaks to both the artist and the bon vivant. Cement tiles designed and colored by French artist Denis Colomb add tactile appeal to the heated bathroom floors. Each bath differs in style and design and all have sumptuous amenities intended to coddle.
The very personal stamp the Henkelmann’s used to create their luxurious retreat is evident with the attention to detail in even the most unlikely places.

For nearly a century the mythical Hotel NEGRESCO has dominated the Promenade des Anglais on the Baie des Anges with its huge pink dome. Its magical name evokes a certain “art de vivre” and the happy go lucky days of the “Edwardian era”.
Henri NEGRESCO, born in 1868, constructed the hotel in 1912. The son of a Rumanian innkeeper, he left his home at the age of 15 in order to travel around Europe. From Paris he went to Monaco and then to Nice where he became director of the Municipal Casino. At this time he was already quite famous and heads of state, princes and the American “kings” of finance, the Rockefellers, the Vanderbildts and the Singers had all heard of Negresco !
His dream was to build a palace worthy of his prestigious clients and he entrusted the construction of his “palace” to one of the most talented architects of that time, Edouard Niermans.
Since 1957 the hotel has been owned by Jeanne AUGIER who has put all her energy into creating a museum-hotel that has become a veritable showcase of French art for her international visitors. In 2003 the Hotel Negresco was listed a National Historic Building – a well earned recognition for the Hotel, its exceptional architecture and the superb art collection that it houses.
