Courtyard Marriott – Santa Monica
The design of the Courtyard Marriott Santa Monica is inspired by the journey to the end of Route 66 that culminates at the Santa Monica Pier and the elements of earth and sky that are encountered along the way. Ceiling forms representing tectonic plates radiate from the front desk, increasing in height in a progression to the main central lobby where a large ceiling “cloud” fixture and a full height media wall provide dramatic counterpoint. An expansive, street front second floor pool terrace looks out over the new metro station and park and features glowing furniture elements with “stadium seating” for the screening of movies in the evenings making for an unforgettable guest experience at this custom boutique version of a Courtyard Marriott Hotel.
This hotel locates in the downtown area of Guangzhou and it is one of the earliest ALOFT hotels developed in China mainland. Its design concept resembles the energetic and dynamic city in an innovative and contemporary fashion, whilst staying in line with Starwood Aloft standard brand identity.
Hilton Woodland Hills, San Fernando Valley
Studio’s design for the Hilton Woodland Hills is a dramatic reconcepting of this existing hotel located in the Warner Ranch area of the San Fernando Valley. A soaring two story, modular feature wall with integral lighting includes a 300 square foot media display comprised of 24 LCD screens and anchors the lobby atrium. A new restaurant and lobby bar flow into the atrium space and have transformed the public areas of this hotel into a vibrant space for social interaction and business in a seamless contemporary backdrop of elegance and sophistication.
Foshan Poly Central Plaza Sales Center – Foshan, China
By using patterns of new and luxury classical, HBA sets the basic tone of this project, which is combining modern design and luxury classical details. The result was quite welcome.

The newly opened Mondrian Soho was designed by fabulous New York designer, Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz. The Mondrian is unlike other New York hotels, it’s more like a fantasy! It’s sparkling, charming, and it really touches your senses.
Very close to both The Smyth and the Duane Street Hotel is The James Hotel. In addition to its gorgeous rooftop, The Jimmy, The James has a restaurant that is to die for! It’s gorgeous and obviously the food is delicious!
The Smyth is so fab. Located in Tribeca, it’s very New York. It has walnut panelling and chrome details, which make everyone who walks in swoon! Paired with the green sofas, the bar at the Smyth has a great vibe. It’s fab for meetings and happy hours in New York!
If you’re looking for something that screams New York, but with a burst of color and personality, then you’re lo the Crosby Street Hotel. Located in Soho, it’s a neighborhood gem. It has a fab library, screening room, and film club, and a gorgeous terrace. My favorite thing about Crosby Street is the afternoon tea!
When I want to have a calm, relaxing evening I always head to the Duane Street Hotel in Tribeca. It’s has a hidden gem with a restaurant called Mehtaphor by one of my favorite chefs, Jehangir Mehta.
The Gramercy Park Hotel is SEXY. It’s a modern take on a traditional, luxurious look. It holds artwork by Andy Warhol, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Gramercy was designed by artist Julian Schnabel in 2006, and is still trending today. That’s huge in a city where things fall out of fashion quickly!
I love the Gansevoort brand. The hotels are chic, well designed, and everybody wants to be there. If you’re looking for a FAB night out in a great scene, the Gansevoort is the place to be.
Andaz on Fifth Avenue opened recently, but became very popular very quickly. It’s subtly designed with classic pieces, and a mix of blacks, browns, and metals for a sophisticated look.
The Standard Hotel
The Standard hotel always offers a fabulous time! It has two locations, one in Meatpacking and one in the East Village. While we love the Biergarten in Meatpacking the East Village has a more relaxed vibe, which is more my style.
Championed by Nobu Hospitality founding partners chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro and Hollywood producer Meir Teper, a 321-key Nobu Hotel – designed by Rockwell Group – the Nobu Hotel has opened in the leisure-focused City of Dreams Manila, in the Philippines.
The Nobu Hotel was developed by Melco Crown (Philippines) Resorts Corporation – a subsidiary of the leisure city’s operator Melco Crown Entertainment. International design firm Rockwell Group is responsible for the look and feel of Nobu restaurants throughout the world. Nobu’s culinary empire now spans 36 restaurants in 31 cities and five continents.
The new hotel is situated within the 6.2-hectare (15-acre) City of Dreams Manila at the gateway to Entertainment City. The City of Dreams Manila, which opened in December 2014, features three entertainment venues including the world’s first ‘DreamPlay by DreamWorks’ – an education-based interactive family entertainment center. There is also a live performance central lounge inside a casino and Chaos & Pangaea night clubs at the Fortune Egg – a landmark structure in the Manila Bay area.
In addition to a number of Nobu-inspired culinary experiences, the hotel interior is complemented with Fitness & Spa facility exclusively available for hotel guests. There is also a 23.3m swimming pool at the property.

Husband and wife team Kit and Tim Kemp recently reacquired their very first property, the Dorset Square Hotel which they originally bought in the eighties. The couple has always had an affinity for this property, which led to the birth of Firmdale Hotels. After an extensive refurbishment, the English country style has been replaced by Kit Kemp’s signature stamp: bold colors, contrasting fabrics, and one-off art pieces and furnishings. The interiors are intriguing and engaging, from the plush guest drawing room with an open fireplace, to the lively bar, and brasserie that features specially commissioned wallpapers and hand-woven carpets.
Historical on the outside, yet timeless on the inside, Eccleston Square Hotel is an elegant fusion of old and new. Located on an award-winning, pristine garden square bordering Belgravia and Victoria in London, this ‘urban cocoon’ offers cutting-edge technology in every room. Take the elevator from here to reach a sublime swimming pool in the hotel’s basement, all sixty feet of which are hypnotically illuminated by a light installation by the artist Martin Richmann.

Town Hall Hotel is one of the most unusual properties you might ever have the pleasure of staying at. The firm has currently completed some ninety projects worldwide, for clients such as Conrad International, Four Seasons, Hilton International and Hyatt International.
Jaya International is an international agency based in Jakarta, Indonesia, specialising in architectural and interior design. Starting with involvement in leading hotel development in Bali, the agency has now completed projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Paris, India, Oman, Dubai, San Francisco and the Caribbean.

This beautiful 4-star boutique hotel is located in the 8th district of Paris, near the national Academy of Paris and the Opera Garnier.

The Idol Hotel is a joyful hymn to Black Music from the 60’s to the 80’s, and it provides the emotion of a design hotel but with something else: sound and groove. You really should visit it!
Located 30 meters from Copacabana Beach, Rio Design Hotel is the first design hotel in the city of Rio de Janeiro. 5 th and 6th floor: The colors are present in the Rio decor designed by Hélio Fraga: cheerful, bright and colorful prints, straw furniture and tiled floors make it very comfortable environment for those conducting business or pleasure.
7th floor: Transparencies and colors that reflect light are the hallmark of décor Marcia Muller, showing a natural and fun way pleased to be in Rio de Janeiro. The executive suite on this floor is equipped with a bathtub.
8th floor: The ecological framework of Gilmar Peres, using plantation wood and fabrics without artificial dye, inspires calm and relaxation. The executive suite floor is equipped with a sauna.
9 th and 10th floor: Aiming to make the guest feel at home, Luiz Fernando redo skated used furniture, patterned curtains and lots of color on the walls to make the atmosphere very pleasant.

The Sheraton Carlton Nürnberg opened in 2001. Back then, there was no comparable property. The hotel has a modern, bright and light interior with much day light coming in and clear lines especially in the lobby. They also try to get some warmth in with the color red. It was the first hotel to be in that style, which led to its success.
According Victoria Pabst, when the hotel opened, people came to the hotel and they were enchanted. This reaction it was not expected in Nürnberg because the other hotels that were there are from another time, richly decorated or dark without daylight.
This is a Nürnberg based hotel so the interior architects are all from the Nürnberg area and the pictures in the guest rooms were drawn by local painters.
The main goals are the guests enjoyed their stay, they were satisfied and they had a good time there. And after that they come back to another experience.
