Tsingpu Tulou Retreat is one of three destinations designed by Wang Gongquan: the Tulou Retreat is located in Fujian, Zhangzhou, the Yangzhou Retreat in Jiangsu, Yangzhou and the Lijiang Baisha Retreat in Yunnan, Lijiang. All three retreats redefine resort life, with a humane approach, where everyone can get close to nature, experience art and culture, discover the wisdom of life and develop self-growth.

Tsignpu Tulou Retreat is located in the mountain interiors of the Fujian province and has five traditional tulou structures that used to be family homes before being transformed into a unique luxurious hotel. Three of these buildings were built during the latter time of the Qing Dynasty, showcasing an ancient rammed-earth and wooden-architecture style.

Tsingpu Tulou Retreat‘s interiors have green slate, warm wood and Chinese fir unite with column and beams from the ancient neighbourhood structures that highlight traditional craftsmanship. The Tsingpu Tulu Retreat has twenty-four rooms distributed across tulou earth buildings, each building has a restaurant with traditional Hakka food, exhibition halls, handicraft workshops, a cooking studio, a yoga studio and a children’s playground.

Traditional Hakka cuisine comes alive through a timeless presentation, age-old recipes, and the freshest ingredients. In addition to memorable cuisine, the hotel has a barbecue area and mountain views that augment the culinary experience.
The Tsingpu Tulu Retreat regularly invites local masters, scholars, craftsmen, and experts in cultural heritage to the property to lead guests on tours and hands-on workshops in and around the retreat, allowing guests to become fully immersed in traditional Chinese culture.
