Born in Rome, Alessandra Branca opened her first design studio in Chicago in 1981. Today the international designer has to divide her work between Chicago, New York, Rome and her summer house on Harbor Island. Branca is best recognized for her astonishing use of colour and energy emanating from her project.
This residential design firm was founded by David Kaufman and Tom Segal in 1995. The studio has since expanded to include commercial design, as well. Kaufman became an Illinois licensed interior designer in 1989 and worked as the senior designer for the late Paul Granata, a well-known Chicago designer, before starting his own firm.
