El Llorenç Parc de la Mar was designed by the renowned Swedish designer Magnos Ehrland, who created a welcomimg ambient with a warm and natural colour palette and the use of verdant foliage throughout the building. Inspired by the city’s melting pot heritage – a meeting point for the Jewish, Muslim and Christian, Magnos Ehrland incorporated the Arabic star motif into wooden doors, textiles, ceramics and glass.
El Llorenç Parc de la Mar is located in the architecturally rich street of the Calatrava neighbourhood, preserving the hotel’s façade with the use of local materials such as Santanyi and Binissalem stones, to acknowledge the setting’s traditional aspect. The rest of the hotel is newly built on two plots that were former homes to monks.
El Llorenc Parc de la Mar has a warm ambience welcoming guests, making them feel relaxed in the unhurried atmosphere. A marvellous roof terrace, set on three levels, offers panoramic views over the La Seu Cathedral and the Mediterranean Sea. The rooftop bar offers a Tannur bistro snack menu during the day and in the evening. The infinity pool is surrounded y Balinese beds and emerald parasols.
The spa, located in the basement of El Llorenc, is a luxurious serene wellness zone that offers a varity of massages and beauty treatments. The spa takes a modern approach to a traditional Arab bath, with a pool jacuzzy, steam bath, sauna and much more.
El Llorenç Parc de la Mar has thirty-eight rooms, which include six juniors and two suites, with balconies overlooking the park and the Bay of Palma. Designed in warm and restful hues of cream, buff and dove grey, the rooms have bespoke fittings and furnishings that incorporate the hotel’s recurring star motif. Mirrored and granite-finished bathrooms include Santal thirty-three toiletries and large walk-in showers, while junior suites also include a bathtub.
El Llorenc Parc de la Mar has two restaurants the Tannur and the Dins: the Tannur overlooks the tranquil park and the Dins has a more intimate space with a show-cooking counter and exhibit of an 11th-century Arabic oven found during excavations on the site; both restaurants offer typical Mediterranean and international dishes.
