The Chedi Andermatt is merely just two hours away from Zurich and is the idyllic mountain environment for a luxurious and unforgettable well-being getaway. The five-star hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and showcases a truly distinctive look designed by the architect Jean-Michel Gathy.
The Chedi Andermatt‘s outside is a traditional wooden chalet, however, the interiors harmonise alpine-chic with modern Asian design touches. The 123 rooms and suites have a minimalist design with fireplaces, leather chairs and amazing views of the mountains. The spa offers a unique approach to wellness treatments mixing Eastern-inspired therapies with modern European treatments. Aside from leisure in the spa, the hotel guests also have an indoor pool and outdoor pool, with a heated pool on the lower levels of the spa.
The Chedi Andermatt has five exceptional restaurants and a bar: the main restaurant, the 1-Michelin Star Japanese Restaurant, the Lobby Lounge & Courtyard and the seasonal Chalet. The main restaurant serves a mix of Asian and European inspired cuisine, with the Japanese Restaurant focusing mainly on Japanese food. The Lobby Lounge & Courtyard is the hotels’ restaurant and the seasonal Chalet restaurant serves local specialities. The most recent one being the Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt also focused on Japanese dishes, located on Mount Gütsch being the hotspot for hikers, skiers and gourmets.
In 2021, The Chedi Andermatt received outstanding ratings by Forbes Travel Guide, making it again one of the best hotels in Europe.
