Lisa Simeone and Gina Deary created Simeone Deary Design Group in 2002, breaking free from traditional boundaries to create an interior design practice that prioritized the creative process and encouraged client engagement. Simeone Deary and KTGY Architectural + Planning merged in 2021 with the goal of creating a fully integrated architecture, branding, interiors, and planning business.

For the new construction design of JW Marriott Charlotte, Simeone Deary Design Group combined contemporary and Victorian architecture with its own rendition of “God Save the Queen.” The company respected the new and the old with clean architectural lines throughout, creating a statement with the overall design by translating monarchy into modernity.

Material tension was transformed into a wonderfully balanced design equation thanks to thoughtful juxtapositions employing boho luxury-inspired interior components, and the now whimsical and provocative hotel makes a point of welcome in all who wander.
