Rockwell Group chose to emphasise the distance between Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and the iconic Strip by creating a luxury destination that taps into the larger context of the desert landscape with pure forms and sculptural moments.

The public spaces are inspired by desert Modernism and, where possible, blur the lines between inside and outside. As a result, there are a number of lounge and dining areas that invite guests to linger and explore.

The Boca Raton

The Boca Raton is a premier resort destination in Florida, in the United States, situated on 200 waterfront acres. The resort was founded in 1926 as the Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn by Boca’s city planner and architect Addison Mizner. The Rockwell Group redesigned many of the public spaces in anticipation of the hotel’s 100th anniversary, including the historic Cloister lobby, Palm Court, several new signature restaurants by Major Food Group, and the Tower guestrooms.

They were inspired to create cohesion and luxury by embracing Mizner’s original Mediterranean Revival style and connecting indoors and out. Their design team emphasised historic elements while also adding warmth and timeless modern luxury.
