AB Concept: Hospitality Design Projects is our topic for today’s article. AB Concept is a design studio, founded in 1999, in Hong Kong by Terence Ngan and Ed Ng.

AB Concept wants to be expressive of time and place in they interiors, to celebrate time honoured skills, cultures and local traditions. They thinks “a material language that goes beyond decoration to create spaces that are robust and splendid in feeling and function”.

Inspiration for Yun House was derived from the stories hidden behind the many legends of Cantonese voyagers, who dreamt of imparting their visions and artistic prowess to the locals.
The bar space embraces the cityscape as a spectacular backdrop, whilst the use of shutters on the surrounding columns draws on the connection between Eastern culture and Western colonial influence.
Located in the 1922 headquarters of the Port of London Authority, Mei Ume in the Four Seasons at Ten Trinity Square is a culmination of the East Meets West concept.
The design is inspired by the building’s history, which originally was a gateway for traders from the East to trade commodities such as tea, silk and ceramics.
The design offers a place for guests to escape from this concrete jungle in the heart of one of the busiest cities in the world.
Like a temporal canvas, Xian represents both a specific epoch and a rich panorama of ancient history.
Exemplifying stylish grandeur, the Conrad Hangzhou whisks guests away into an urban oasis of understated luxury and opulence.
