Stonehill Taylor Interior Design and your wonderful hotel designs are the subjects of today’s article. Don’t waste any more time and learn all about these spectacular hotel design projects by Stonehill Taylor.
A hospitality-focused architecture and interior design firm called Stonehill Taylor uses a contextual approach when creating travel destinations. The company has collaborated with a number of well-known hospitality brands and promoters, including GFI Capital, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Firmdale Hotels, Marriott International, and the Sydell Group.
See also: Bowe Studio Hotel Decoration
The hotels that Stonehill Taylor has developed are unique and inspired interpretations of the location, environment, time and culture of each project. TWA Hotel, Ace Hotel New York and Brooklyn, Graduate Hotel Roosevelt Island, Renaissance New York Chelsea, The Industrialist Hotel in Pittsburgh, and the Limelight resorts in Snowmass and Aspen are just a few of the prestigious hotels in the company’s extensive portfolio from across the United States.
On Roosevelt Island in New York City, the Graduate Hotel is a 224-key hotel for the Cornell University Tech Campus. The hotel has a restaurant, a rooftop bar, and a meeting space. The hotel is a part of the campus and offers food services for the nearby academic buildings. In order to combine the facade with the nearby educational institution, Stonehill Taylor, the project architect, collaborated with Snohetta, the facade design consultant. The Public Design Commission of New York City has given the building a design prize.
Visitors are quickly taken from the bustling Midtown to the vast yet tranquil lobby space upon entering the Conrad. Leda and the Swan by Carole Feurman, a sizable, lifelike sculpture that the hotel purchased, welcome visitors here. Dabble, a brand-new restaurant created in partnership by Hecho and Stonehill Taylor is located next to the lobby. The design language used to create Dabble explores the development of the use of line in space while also experimenting with reflection, perception, material, and shape.
The Bryant 16 West 40’s broad program comprises 57 opulent residential condominiums, 2,500 SF of retail space, 25,500 SF of restaurant space, and the Park Terrace Hotel, which boasts stunning views of Bryant Park. The 226 guestrooms in the 32-story, David Chipperfield-designed and Stonehill Taylor-built structure all have interiors by the latter. The “bright, fresh and airy with a décor inspired by natural harmony” design, which reflects the neighboring park, retains a residential look while giving a high level of style and functionality. Views of Bryant Park, the American Radiator Building, the New York Public Library, and the Empire State Building’s constantly changing colorful lights are available from the hotel’s magnificent Terrazzo Lounge.
The finest rooms, public areas, and event spaces of the flagship Hilton New York Midtown hotel have all been reimagined by Stonehill Taylor in constant collaboration with Hilton Worldwide. The suite designs were influenced by late Art Deco and early modernist architecture, as well as the nearby Rockefeller Center and Sixth Avenue’s styled façade. Each of the hotel’s top-floor suites, which have expansive views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline and are about 2,000 square feet in size, underwent a total gut refurbishment.

Aedas Interiors has been commissioned to design the public parts of a projected luxury resort on Dubai‘s Palm Jumeirah Island, including the lobby, conference rooms, circulation spaces, several restaurants, and a spa and fitness centre.
The colour expresses a relaxing ocean-side resort while preserving a feeling of formality to correspond with the hotel‘s upmarket brand, and the design idea is inspired by the seascape.
The opulent Middle Eastern opulence is visible in the design elements, materials used, and accessories.
The interior design of the proposed 5-star luxury resort hotel is a poetic representation of the site’s cascading topography and takes the guest on a trip through the experience of Oman’s coast (costa), gardens (flora), and mountains (terra).
The Costa idea highlights the organic lines of the sea with a colour palette drawn from water reflections. The Flora idea uses Islamic floral-inspired designs, with splashes of desert rose and fresh greens.
As a homage to Oman’s mountainous topography, the Terra theme incorporates rock pebbles, spices, cereals, ceramics, and metal works.
A deluxe residential villa resort with 206 keys, a premium spa, restaurants, retail stores, sports amenities, and a heritage town constructed around an ancient site.
The interior design is fresh, airy, and contemporary, and it celebrates the different sceneries around Oman’s shore.
The design is inspired by the natural textures and tones found across the Sultanate, with a parallel story based on the Omani legacy and craftsmanship.

The most innovative businesses and companies in the world rely on their integrated hospitality concepts to offer revolutionary customer experiences. Their methodology emphasizes Hospitality Thinking principles in order to address the overall guest experience from a human-centric standpoint. Through their hotel interior design projects, they hope to offer the greatest possible guest experience.
This hotel interior design idea was inspired by a fictional character and their dwellings. A fictional hotel from the Belle Époque period trapped in the 1970s, invaded by outside gardens, and gilded with mirrored walls and Opaline chandeliers throughout is the inspiration for Quality Bistro, which takes inspiration from the French countryside. Birds of many varieties can be found throughout the Quality Bistro, including painted on the fluted panels, wooden columns, and walls with mosaic tiles and framed bird pictures.
Brand Bureau developed the new Arlo brand, while its sister business AvroKO built the hotel interior design. It was built as a haven, rest area, and gathering spot for urban adventurers. This hotel’s common rooms, which include a music room where guests can enjoy the music of various eras and genres, can handle a flurry of activity throughout the day. Visitors can socialize, work, rest, or eat and drink while mingling with other visitors in the common spaces. The guest rooms are compact, functional, and thoughtfully designed, with warm, high-touch materials, foldable desks, and closets with furniture hanging hooks that anticipate visitors’ needs.
This hotel interior design project was created with urban adventurers in mind as a sanctuary, rest stop, and gathering place. The interiors of the hotels were created by Brand Bureau, a subsidiary firm, that also planned and designed the new Arlo brand. Each Arlo hotel has a range of public areas designed to support a flurry of daily activities, such as a music room where visitors can listen to music from various ages and genres. In the communal areas, visitors can meet and mingle, work and unwind, or eat and drink while mingling with other visitors. The guest rooms’ small, effective, and thoroughly considered designs include warm, high-touch materials and ingenious features like foldable tables and closets with movable hanging hooks that foresee visitors’ needs.
This hotel interior design by AvroKO was based on the ideas of transparency and simplicity, and aimed to provide a conscious approach to design along with the use and celebration of natural materials. The pre-existing architectural elements of the structure, such as exposed concrete ceilings and floors, steel columns and beams, and terracotta block masonry walls, were embraced by AvroKO. Woods and textiles were introduced into the space in their natural state, celebrating their distinctive marks, veins, knots, and color variations. Whenever possible, resources from the area were employed. These included reclaimed wooden water tanks, the source of which was used to enclose the wall behind the bed, as well as river stones produced upstate, plant species, linen screens, and furs.

Best Hotels to Stay in During iSaloni 2022 are going to be today’s topic. iSaloni 2022 is back with a vengeance, and to celebrate the 60th anniversary, this year’s edition promises to bring a lot of new things. Make sure you save the date – 7th to 12th June – and take a look at the best hotels to stay in during the international design show. Check here the best restaurants to eat in Milan during the fair.
1.Armani Hotel
The Armani Hotel Milano brings Giorgio Armani’s luxury aesthetic to life, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the designer’s vision. The 1930s façade of the A-shaped structure appears somewhat austere at first glance, but enter inside and the glossy beauty that has come to define the brand produces instant fascination.
2.Bulgari
When the historic Italian jeweller Bulgari expanded into hospitality in 2004, it chose Milan as the city to showcase its vision for a five-story boutique hotel where privacy is golden and opulence is at every turn behind a clean, black-and-white marble facade with black granite eaves and dyed oak frames.
3.Excelsior Hotel Gallia
The Excelsior Hotel Gallia, A Luxury Collection Hotel, is an art deco landmark and a fashionable light for Porta Nuova, Milan’s newest “it” area. The 1932 hotel is currently part of the Luxury Collection company and consists of the original structure and a connected, new glass-and-steel tower — the blend of old and new is completely modern Milan at its finest.
4.Hotel Principe di Savoia
The neoclassical Hotel Principe di Savoia, Dorchester Collection has been Milan’s benchmark hotel for nearly a century. Despite its size, the Principe has the feel of a boutique hotel: intimate, personal, and private. The Principe is elegantly designed in late-19th-century finery of sumptuous damasks, rich hues, and collectors’ antiquities in marbles and woods, but it is also entirely 21st century, with an eye for technology and a concierge crew that says “your wish is our command.”
5.Magna Pars, l’ Hotel à Parfum
Scents reawaken memories. They bring long-forgotten emotions to life and are natural storytellers. Magna Pars, l’Hôtel à Parfum, constructed on the ruins of a historic perfume factory, understands this well enough to make scent the official guide through a tour of discovery into its fascinating past rich in beauty, legacy, passion, and Italian brilliance.
6.Mandarin Oriental
Mandarin Oriental, Milan combines classic Milanese style with Mandarin’s trademark Oriental charm and legendary hospitality. The hotel’s 104 rooms and suites are housed in four interconnecting 18th-century palazzos that overlook cobblestone lanes and quiet courtyards. The unassuming main entrance is on a discreet backstreet next to La Scala opera venue, near the Duomo and Via della Spiga (where luxury shopping dreams are made).
7.ME Milan Il Duca
ME Milan Il Duca is a new location for people looking for a fashionable escape in Italy’s style capital, strategically positioned within walking distance of the famous Quadrilatero della Moda (fashion area) and the modern Porta Nuova quarter.
8.Palazzo Parigi Hotel & Grand Spa Milano
The Palazzo Parigi Hotel & Grand Spa Milano is a prime example of Milan’s fluid blend of heritage and style. Palazzo Parigi, which opened in 2013 as the city’s first large-scale boutique hotel, is a fantastic stage for a design created by architect and owner Paola Giambelli, who combined Paris chic with Milan flair, aiming to herald the renaissance of a city that was once known as Rome’s austere sister but is now the Italian darling of fashion, finance, and gastronomy.
9.Park Hyatt Milan
Park Hyatt Milan, the first Hyatt hotel on Italian soil, is a symbol of Milanese beauty and refinement. The 1,032-square-foot palazzo was built in 1870 and is finished in warm, porous Italian travertine limestone with black marble inlay.
10.The Westin Palace, Milan
The Westin Palace, Milan, perfectly positioned within the upmarket Piazza della Repubblica area, is a fashionably contemporary stay that belies its 1920s-era shell. It debuted a new look in the lobby, The Lounge Bar, and conference spaces in 2021, fusing the hotel’s historic architecture with contemporary lines. It’s also lush – the Westin used biophilic architecture, which immerses guests in nature and flora both outside and inside the hotel.

In the heart of Central Vietnam, the province of Ninh Thuan is a hidden gem. It is known for its white-sand beaches, large gardens of table grapes, onions, and hot peppers, among other things. The Cham ethnic group is also well-represented in the province.
To develop a contemporary hospitality experience anchored in this rich history and culture, a large amount of study into local materials and references, as well as testing concepts and working with local stakeholders, was required.
In Asian hospitality, there is a growing trend of properties that sell individual units in the real estate market and then operate as hotels or are branded by hospitality companies. Condotels, hotel-branded residences, and hospitality-led real estate are all terms used to describe these properties.
The HKS design team and the client chose to investigate this condotel building concept and combine it with family-friendly entertainment options for this project.
To develop a destination and well-being campus in the Houston, Texas area, plans called for the addition and refurbishment of an existing resort, conference centre, and spa.
The present Conference Center was renovated, as well as the addition of an all-day restaurant and gourmet market, an event pavilion, a waterside bar, a state-of-the-art spa, and a unique concept spa water experience to create a romantic and community meeting place for families and friends.
3. Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort and Village
After designing the iconic 5-star resort Costa Meloneras for the Lopesan Hotel Group in the Canary Islands, HKS was tasked by the clients with the design and development of the first all-inclusive 5-star luxury resort and shopping destination in the powdery white sands and crystal blue waters of the well-known tourist destination of Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana, DR. The project includes two luxury hotels and an entertainment village broken into two phases to create an all-in-one world-class destination.
4. Botanic Sanctuary
HKS designers were tasked by the owner/developer of the Six Senses Resort at Qing Cheng Mountain, a Unesco World Heritage site known for being the birthplace of Taoism and home to important Panda conservation, to design a sister property as a hot springs destination that would complement and share amenities with the existing resort and spa. The customer requested a piece of architecture that was both iconic and private, with a strong link to the natural surroundings and the allure of the mountain.

The alchemy of placemaking is based on a comprehension of human happiness. When a location can nourish the mind, encourage relaxation and introspection, or spark the imagination, it becomes more than the sum of its parts. It will turn into a moving experience.
All of Lambs & Lions’ work is aimed at creating lyrical, intuitive architectural solutions that are infused with peace and love. Solutions that are both visually appealing and emotionally impactful.
Casa Cook Rhodes is the Casa Cook Boutique hotel brand’s trial operation. In conjunction with interior stylist Annabell Kutucu and local architect Vana Pernari, Lambs and Lions drove the conceptual development. The 97-room hotel is located in Kolymbia, a little hamlet on Rhodes’ eastern coast, just a short walk from the beach.
The vibe is definitively mid-century California louche, with elements of exposed stone walls, timber decks, and pergolas, while the bright spaces are covered with rich textures and handcrafted details, set against a stretch of muscular rocky hills. The spirit of the design is carried through to the rooms.
Casa Cook Chania is a continuation of the brand’s relaxed luxury image, this time tailored to the gentle hillside setting on the Cretan shore. The lush tropical softscape and braided cane outdoor furnishings soften the severe angles and Brutalist excess of warm grey concrete and stone. A mid-century influenced decor with stone, dark wood, earthy textured linens, and rattan weaves creates a relaxing private retreat for each visitor. The architectural language of the buildings near the seaside, such as the beach club, concept shop, and pool, shifts to a stronger, more brutalist design, better suited to the sea and salt air.
Casa Cook’s second retreat was designed with a sense of community and slow-living in mind. The hotel’s beach club is created in a more casual architectural style with vast windows and a textured thatch ceiling, focusing on the Greek concept of “Parea.” The spacious, open area created by retractable glass planes allows guests to seamlessly transition from the tranquility of the powdered sand dunes of the beach to the relaxing atmosphere around the main pool.
The journey with Casa Cook continues in Brela, Croatia.
Where they lay hands on this modernist gem from the 60’s, “giving” it the mighty upgrade it deserves.
Brela on the Makarska Riviera is known for its magnificent beaches at the foot of Biokovo.
The Mauritzhof had been a landmark hotel with a long history that visionary owner Stefan Reckhenrich turned into one of the first boutique hotels in the 1980s, nestled on the green promenade of the thriving university town in northwest Germany. The hotel’s re-opening in September 2016, which marked a new chapter in its history, offered a forward-thinking lift with the sensation of a personal and urban getaway.
The building’s interior and exterior have been completely renovated, with the addition of a rooftop with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the city’s famous park promenade’s green and urban landscapes. A timeless range of Scandinavian furniture reflects the desire to mix a sense of urban elegance with relaxing forms. A warm and friendly ambience is created by clean lines, muted color palettes, and herringbone parquet floors. All space layouts are based on an understanding of human behavior, atmosphere, and functional requirements.
The hotel showcases retrospective photography by Münster-based photographer Berthold Socha from the owner’s private collection.
