Elizabeth Unique Hotel Rome is a restored 17th-century palazzo at the heart of the city centre, offering its guests a sophisticated journey through Rome. Renovated by Studio Marincola Architects, the studio focused on arts & culture to redesign the interiors, offering new life to the 33 rooms, the bar and the bistrot, meeting room and fitness centre.
A privately owned hotel, Elizabeth Unique is part of the Elizabeth Lifestyle brand – there are other locations in Bologna and Milan. What makes this property actually unique is its collaboration with Galleria Russo, a contemporary art gallery whose top picks feature prominently throughout the hotel.
The Elizabeth Unique has a contemporary and slick feel, with a dark, ground-level entry vestibule leading to a large, luminescent reception lounge on the first level. Contemporary art pieces and fittings stud the space, creating a fresh, modern vibe. The hotel has arched walls and lacquered wooden panels. The rooms have high ceilings, parquet floors and white marble bathrooms with waterfall showers; canopy beds showcase historic designs, while arched walls, couture fabrics, modular doors, and small details evoking the Rome of the past creating sublimely intimate settings.
The hotel’s bar offers a full-service breakfast until noon every day, and the front of the hotel’s restaurant opens onto a welcoming terrace made of stone and wood, while arched walls with lacquered wood panelling offer a modern reference to traditional Roman architectural concepts. Elizabeth Unique’s majestic double-height entranceway leads to a refined lobby and a cosy reading room with a fireplace that imparts the feeling of a private home.
