It was created by one one of the top interior designers Olaf Kitzig.

Olaf Kitzig is an Interior Design from Lippstadt, in Germany. In 26th August 1998 he has founded the company KITZIG INTERIOR DESIGN. With the slogan “Architecture is Trust” Kitzig company has been successfully realizing interior design and architecture projects for 17 years.

The Mercure Hotel Baumanskaya is located near the centre of Moscow. Its conversion called for an interior design concept that would provide business people with optimal accommodation by international standards while also featuring well-balanced local colour.

This was achieved by designing a monochrome colour concept for the walls and furniture that enters into a dialogue with the linearly coloured carpet. In addition, a so-called brand wall stages the Mercure brand, with wall designs from the Moscow underground or Russian Baroque providing individual highlights.
