To celebrate this rich and diverse community, CDW has created a showcase of leading UK and international brands and companies presented in a series of showroom events, pop-up exhibitions and special installations that take place across the area. Having just finished it’s 5th year, running 20-22 May 2014, the award-winning* CDW has firmly established itself as the UK’s leading independent design festival and annually attracts the international design community to this small area of London for three days of exciting events. The Rookery Hotel

The Rookery is located in the fashionable area of Clerkenwell, between the West End and London’s central business district, known as The City. It is like Soho in the east, with bustling street life and a plethora of fascinating places to eat and drink.

Quietly located a short distance from the Barbican, St Paul’s, Holborn and The Tate Modern, the only remaining early houses in St Peter’s Lane have been repaired and extended to create their delightful small hotel. Opened in March 2004, The Zetter is the brainchild of fellow restaurateurs Michael Benyan and Mark Sainsbury. Having worked together previously on another Clerkenwell stalwart – the highly acclaimed Moro restaurant – 2001 saw them join forces again to buy an old Victorian warehouse building in the heart of the neighbourhood, and embark upon a massive hotel renovation project.

Named The Zetter, as it was once home to the football pools company of the same name, the newly transformed 59-room boutique hotel and restaurant opened three years’ on to instant acclaim.
